ok so I totally SUCK and forgot to blog on time :( have mercy on me Heath and Allie!
I thought this last class was AWESOME. Cody and Lauren did a great job with their lesson plan (hopefully me and Matt can live up to it!) and the after class discussion was great too. I loved how the class was set up and I think Cody and Lauren did a great job choosing values for each of us. I had choice, which is something that hit really close to home for me. I've been going through some unnecessary drama lately (when is drama ever necessary really?) and my choice of how to react to it has been something I've had to deal with regularly. I'm the kind of person who likes to avoid confrontation and fighting with people I'm close with and I tend to get walked on by those same people because they know that I would do anything for them. I use the value of choice everyday just to deal with small, random setbacks during the day, but using it for things such as this is slightly difficult for me. It's something I'm trying to do with situations of more importance, make the decision that is best for me and for the situation, not necessarily just for the other person. It something that is becoming a main focus in my life and hopefully I can work through all this to the best of my abilities.
Hope everyone is having a great spring break and I can't wait to see everyone soon!
I agree, Cody and Lauren did a great job. I like how they assign values that fit everyone's personality.
ReplyDeleteSee you Wednesday!
I can relate to the difficulties you have placing others before yourself. I tend to take the path of least resistance so I find myself doing what other people want to do often, even if it isn't what I want to do.
ReplyDeleteI hope your week is going well!
Agreed on the whole unnecessary drama thing. Of course I don't remember a time when I didn't have any of it in the past few years. I'm the same way as you are in the fact that I will do anything for my friends so I know where your coming from when you feel like your being walked on.
ReplyDeleteSee you tonight.
I also think they did a good job of matching personalities to the values!!
